Good news for Micro-MBA trainers and anyone who cannot attend a Micro-MBA training venue because of time availability, distance, Covid-19 restrictions or any other reasons.
TRAINERS' COURSES
Trainers' courses are regularly run on the Zoom platform. https://micro-mba.com/online-trainers-course. This constantly-evolving course is typically offered on a Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday, so that skills can be practiced on the intervening weekend.
WiFi is a must for those attending this course.
MICRO-MBA BIZ-CALC APP DOES AWAY WITH PAPER RECORDS
Delegates on our trainers' course are encouraged to download the Micro-MBA Biz-Calc App onto an Android handset. See https://youtu.be/DYI1NP6u5eo. It may be downloaded free of charge for 15 days from Google Play Store. Thereafter, it may be activated for 12 months for R90.
Apart from providing a simple calculator function, this App enables Micro-MBA graduates to
- do all their Costing and Pricing (for Traders, Producers or Service Providers) on their handsets;
- keep cash-flow records by completing the "Brilliantly Simple and Simply Brilliant" Money Management process, also on their handsets;
- complete their Stock Control forms and keep records (including a vital comparison between Stock Control and Cash-Flow management, which warns the proprietor about possible "shrinkage" of stock).

MICRO-MBA MOBILE
The Micro-MBA Mobile app (https://youtu.be/xpEmpbHlyHs) has been developed for users who do not have a permanent mobile network connection. Learners work through the workbooks on their cellphone handsets without having access to WiFi or other data. Data is only required when downloading the App, downloading required files for workbooks and for submitting completed workbooks via WhatsApp to their Coach. The first module (Market Investigation) is free when anybody downloads the Micro-MBA Mobile app on Google Play.
The Micro-MBA Mobile app covers all 8 Micro-MBA workbooks and also enables the learner to use the Micro-MBA Biz-Calc app more effectively.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
As soon as a Micro-MBA Mobile user submits their response to module 1 (this happens straight from the App) to Trident, they will then pay R490 or US$35 for the rest of the course modules.
We will then allocate such a person to the trainer who introduced them to the course, or to another available trainer (“Coach”) if they came straight to Google Play by themselves.
The trainer, who is now the coach, communicates with the learner via WhatsApp or Gmail from a PC and the learner’s responses are simply imported into an Excel Student Record on the PC. The Student Record contains model answers alongside the learners’ responses which makes checking the learner’s responses easy for the coach. When both the learner and the coach are confident about a module, the next module is issued.
Coaches are reimbursed with 50% of the course fee.
The learner will need to have access to WiFi or a mobile network to download a book or submit responses, but in between those actions, they can work independently offline on their Android devices for as long as they like (not available for Apple at this stage). File sizes are small so data cost implications are minimal.
